I'll get you, my pretty...

Questions to ponder:

1. If you are auditioning 300 screaming kids at a time accompanied by their overbearing stage mothers, how long before the words "Ding Dong, the Witch is dead!" make you want to kill yourself?

2. Have you ever walked in on a props guy sitting next to a pile of chains and cutting open a stuffed dog and it was just another day at the office?

3. There are jitterbugs in the Wizard of Oz???

It's getting crazy around here. Rehearsals are going well, fittings are going mostly well. We don't have any costumes to fit half the principal characters. They are getting custom built in NYC. So we have 3 weeks to get them here and make sure they work.

And then there are covers and swings and we have no duplicate costumes... When I asked about that the costume coordinator just smiled and shrugged.

I don't know what that means...
