Things I will miss...

My favorite public art in Tucson. These are tile murals made from old black and white photographs taken of people (and buses) around town in the 1940s. My favorite (the third one) is, of course, impossible to photograph with my camera because I have to be either too far away or throw myself into traffic to get the shot, but you can get the gist with the detail shots...

And things I won't miss:

The red monstrosity (the building is cool...), though it looks better in this photograph than it does in life. There's an accompanying piece somewhere downtown that I call the turquoise horror.

What are people thinking?
